If google is to be believed at all, then here are a bunch of examples of packaging, foods, advertisements and patterns from the 1950's. I've noticed a few common themes, everything seems to be family orientated, nothing is bad for you (not donuts, not even smoking) and there doesn't seem to be any negativity anywhere, after all we had just come out of the second world war and were getting back up on our feet and looking forward to a future of happiness and plenty. My favourite thing is the patterns, so many colours, so many shapes, I think these and the fashion (posted previously) are something to be inspired by when it comes to textures.....
